Johanna Courtleigh, MA, Licensed Professional Counselor, expert in Building Confidence and Self-Esteem, and Resolving Conflict, Depression, Anxiety, Stress and Eating Disorders

  • Have you always felt a little (or a lot) less than good enough?
  • Have you sacrificed your true self in order to fit in?
  • Have you worked hard to earn love, only to find you still feel frustrated and lonely?
  • Have you felt disconnected, like you don’t know or like who you are?
  • Does shame keep you limited and hiding?

There’s Hope and Help
It’s time to take care of the one relationship you’re going to be in every moment for the rest of your life: your relationship with your self!

“Johanna’s warmth, wisdom and presence has challenged and supported me to become more the person I’ve always wanted to be. My time with her has been a real blessing.”

I know you can resolve depression, anger, loneliness, grief, conflict and addictions.

I know you can become happier and healthier.

I know you can come to greater self-love, awareness, personal empowerment, ease and integrity—internally, and in your relationships with others.

If you let me, I can help.

“The Privilege Of A Lifetime Is To Be Who You Are.”
Joseph Campbell

The Problem
Many of us grew up learning that who we were somehow wasn’t quite okay. To adapt and survive we created a ‘false self’ to try to gain love and approval, fit into our culture and minimize our pain.

But we deserve to live authentically and to flourish, instead of just cope and survive!

The Solution
One of the purposes of therapy is to create a healing, trusting alliance where the hurts of the past can be attended to and resolved.

Together we explore and question the beliefs and patterns that have hindered you from living fully–that have led to suffering, depression, alcohol and drug abuse, eating disorders, anger and hopelessness–and have kept you ‘safe’ and separate from self and others.

Old, out-moded patterns of thought, feeling and behavior can then be released, new skills acquired, and your true self recovered and expressed—new skills that support sobriety, integrity, empowerment, confidence, peace of mind and ease in the world.

As you become aware of and reclaim the parts of yourself that you have repressed, numbed or disowned, you can learn to make more self-honoring choices, and support and value yourself in ways that allow you to thrive.

You can resolve your loneliness, anger, depression, grief, low self-esteem and addictions. And you can create a life you love . . . a life that really fits.
